Day 10 May 11 of this 39 day adventure

Another sunny and hot (30 deg) day welcomed us as we left Santo Domingo de la Calzada and the 5 day town celebrations behind us heading down the path to Belorado - 21 kms

Down the path is the right terminology as our pathways this day were long and straight with gentle up and down grades

You can see this from a couple of the pictures. We literally walked through vast stretches of fields all planted and going very well to walking great stretches along the main highway all in which leads to a less interesting stroll for the most part.

We came across this substantial cross on the path which will become more normal as the days and weeks go on. Dr Jouni Kraft was posing / resting for the picture.

Our first rest for the day was at this food truck. There one could get a breakfast sandwich coffee and juice for about 7.5 Euro or about $10

The flower of the day was this purple iris

I came across this well flagged cafe as I entered Belorado and the Maple leaf was number one in the line up

As I stumbled around town to find the hotel I saw this brilliant mural of the pilgrim. Their art work is really wonderful and some of the graffiti is quite stunning as well

It was a similar day to yesterday on all fronts, length of walk, sunny and hot, not much to see thus tiring more so than a longer walk through the woods etc

Tomorrow will present a substantial uphill climb for two thirds of our trek so we need to be prepared

10 for 10 on the sunny / no rain days

Let’s keep this up

Till then
