Day 7 May 8 Sunday
Another great day on the Camino with clear skies and favourable breezes. Reached temps of 28 deg I believe and in the sheltered areas it was warm.
Last nights accommodations were ok, but little to be said for this mornings breakfast - no breakfast - so we hit the road at 7:30am and stopped at 9 for some fuel.
Much of the 28 km walk was through agricultural lands with great vineyards and olive groves.
Pilgrims seemed lighter on the trails today possibly some taking a day of rest
We arrived at Logrono at 3pm and taking the time out for our tests we averaged 4-1/2 km per hr. Not bad considering the hills etc
I wear the parish ribbons proudly as they all walk virtually with me on this Camino
2nd pic shows some pilgrim art
Next one shows the typical street layout while the next is Viana which was about 10 km out from our end destination- where we stopped for lunch
Next shows is walking into Logrono
Last is a storks nest on the building across from our hotel - this one has a mom and little one - there is another nest and a male watching over them
We will be off in the morning to Najera which will be another 29 km stroll
Hope for continued fair weather
Till then
