Day 16 May 17 part two

Day 16 May 17 part 2

Last evening we went to the Pilgrim evening mass at the Church of San Martin in Fromista at 8 pm

The church built and consecrated in 1066 surely puts our Trinity built in 1880 as the new kid in the block

The clean lines and simple architecture with limited hangings etc provided a very welcoming place of worship

The image of Christ dates back to the 1400’s

Although we do not understand the language it is very easy to follow the flow of the liturgy

The Priest at the end of the service has all those attending / mostly pilgrims, come forward for a blessing in a semi circle

He went one by one to see what country we are from and present each with a Camino sticker

He was very welcoming
